Our Reality: Stronger Democracy

49% of young people in America express concern that they do not know enough about social issues to get involved in a campaign.

An overwhelming number of Americans agree that it is absolutely vital to living in a democracy--but how can we make a democracy that is more inclusive and reaches across the aisle to affect real change?

Political polarization continues in America, especially on issues such as healthcare and climate change. More and more Americans believe that the "other" candidates' victory would bring lasting harm to the United States. But in the 2020 election, America saw some of its highest voter turnout of all time, with 66% of eligible voters casting a ballot.

How can we tap into this momentum? The time is now--to create ideas that can help repair trust and engage young people to participate in the democratic process. This challenge goes beyond political parties or platforms, looking to bridge the bipartisan gap and create a process that is healthy and sustainable for all.
